Strategic Alliance in the Ticketing Industry

Montreal, Monday, January 21, 2008—Compagnie France Film is pleased to announce that its ticketing service Tel-Spec, exclusive manager of ticketing activities and services for Théâtre Saint-Denis I and II in Montreal, has just formed a strategic alliance with Ticketpro Canada, a leader in ticketing services infrastructure.

Montreal, Monday, January 21, 2008 Compagnie France Film is pleased to announce that its ticketing service Tel-Spec, exclusive manager of ticketing activities and services for Théâtre Saint-Denis I and II in Montreal, has just formed a strategic alliance with Ticketpro Canada, a leader in ticketing services infrastructure.

As a result of this alliance, Ticketpro becomes the largest Quebec company in this field and the largest 100% Canadian ticketing service. Now more than ever, Ticketpro will be an invaluable marketing partner. This new alliance will allow for better operational synergies on the technological front. Under this partnership, Tel-Spec will provide its expertise to Ticketpro through the application of state-of-the-art software developed in Quebec. “Ticketpro users will be able to enjoy the advantages of Tel-Spec’s program, which uses the latest in IT developments,” said Pierre René, president of Compagnie France Film. “It will offer greater flexibility, which no other program on the market can match. We will be able to meet the specific needs of all our current and future clients.”

The new-generation program will be marketed across North America by this new incarnation of Ticketpro. The world of ticketing has been radically transformed since the beginning of the new century. A ticketing company can no longer simply distribute tickets, a product that is in the process of dematerializing.

“First and foremost, a ticketing network must be a marketing partner, assisting producers, concert and public-event promoters to reach their potential customers as efficiently as possible,” said Serge Grimaux, president of Ticketpro Canada. “As such, ticketing companies must offer ticket buyers a service that meets all of their needs. By merging their activities, Compagnie France Film and Ticketpro have created a new company that is able to do so.”   Théâtre Saint-Denis will join the other Montreal venues that have adopted a new system for marketing cultural products, including Club Soda, the Medley, the Metropolis, the Olympia and Outremont theatres, and three big events: the Montreal International Jazz Festival, the FrancoFolies de Montréal and the Montreal Highlights Festival.   Key employees from both companies will handle the new entity’s operations. Ticketpro will be located at the corner of St. Denis Street and de Maisonneuve Boulevard, in the heart of the Latin quarter.
